PEPPER VARIETIES. * = most widely used varieties

RED

Triple 4	A vigorous long jointed crop with a high production level. Triple 4 has a regular setting and fruits mature to red quickly. It is not sensitive to Blossom end rot or shrink cracks, and there is a high percentage of 4-lobes. Good size and tasty fruits. Tm2 resistant.
Fantasy	A new red blocky pepper with a high production and high quality fruit. Fruit has a nice, deep red color, shape and good shine. Large, heavy fruit. Funky is strong against blossom end rot and has good shelf-life characteristics. Plant It is a short plant with good vigor and leaf cover.
* Zamboni	A new variety for red blocky market. Very productive, producing large very uniform fruits. Average fruit weight 220 grams (8 oz) Produces a generative open plant that sets easily, is easy to work in and is very early. Tm2.

GREEN - All fruits are green when immature then mature into the specific colors.

Hawaii

Hawaii matures more slowly than other varieties (into Red) so is predominantly used for green pepper production.

YELLOW

* Bossanova	Bossanova is an early green/yellow variety that produces large fruits. A compact, open plant with small leaves It is strong against blossom end rot, russetting and bitter pit. Resistant to Tm 2.
Gretsky	A yellow pepper in the Bossanova class. Produces large/ extra large fruits. The plant is stronger than, but has a similar generative backround to Bossanova RZ. Resistant to Tm:2.

ORANGE

*Sympathy

A new introduction for the bigger size market. Large Orange blocky variety that promises to become a standard. The plant has good vigor and fruits have good flavor and a long shelf life. Tm2.

HOT

*Fireflame	RED 15-18 cm long, Vigorous tall plant High yield. Tapered and smooth fruits. Heat index = 12000 scoville
Sunflame	YELLOW 14-17 cm Heat index = 22 000 scoville

OTHERS (Novelties, not main crop varieties)

Bianca	Ivory (white) colored pepper, better eye appeal than flavor.
Hershey	Hershey (Brown) is a medium early, blocky pepper. Fruits mature from medium green to a rich chocolate color. The strong open plants produce medium sized fruits. Hershey is very productive Best flavor and texture of any variety.
Mavras	Marvas (Purple) is a very early thick walled, blocky pepper. When immature it produces attractive shiny purple fruits. Resistance Tm2.
Tequila	Tequila is a very early blocky, slightly elongated hybrid. Strong open plants produce an attractive medium sized lilac fruits that mature to a medium red color. It has an easy setting ability and resistance to blossom end rot. Resistant Tm0
Zorro	Zorro (purple) is a Marvas type with a more open plant. It has an excellent deep violet colored fruit. Resistant Tm2 .
